Stacy & John’s Horseshoe Bay, Texas Wedding

Stacy and John stood at the altar, hand in hand, laughing. Stacy’s brother had just arrived by plane to Horseshoe Bay, Texas for their wedding a few hours before – now he stood between them as their officiant. After asking John to repeat after him, he says “If it’s too long, tell me and I can break it down for you.” They all laughed and laughed. Stacy and John stood under the altar that he built and stained for her (walnut oak), amidst their closest family and friends. They were visibly filled with joy to be standing across from one another. Stacy’s brother continued, officiating a short, sweet, and beautiful ceremony. Their new family, including their son Cameron, then walked back down the aisle together.

One of John’s groomsman said in his toast that John was the kind of person with a heart of gold. A selfless, loving individual that always put his friends first. Another groomsman was describing him and Stacy both as very low maintenance people, and so grateful of everyone coming together and how they wholly deserved all the love and attention they were receiving.

Stacy and her father’s sweet dance surprised us all with a record scratch about thirty seconds in. They both broke out into a surprise montage improv dance to Twist and Shout, Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting, and All I Do is Win. Much to everyone’s amusement, especially their own.

The cherry on top (or strawberry and nutella on top…!) was the Gourdough’s doughnut truck that came at the end of the night. All the doughnuts looked SO good – there was a line almost all night long!

Thank you for letting us be a part of your sweet day! Despite the wind almost blowing us over, it was such a beautiful and meaningful day. It’s hard to have a favorite among all the wonderful moments, but I think mine was your nephew DJ-ing!!! And y’all sharing your first donuts as a married couple…that one was hard to beat!!!! 🙂
