Texas Hill Country Engagement Session – Paige & Chris

And now for something so near and dear to my heart! I have been so excited to have travel out to the beautiful Texas hill country for these cuties’ engagement session! We have known Chris and Paige for about six years now. Paige and I bonded very quickly as fellow art school kids both with long distance, long haul relationships. When Chris popped the question, it was long awaited but so so happily well received!!!

We headed out to Mason, Texas, a small town just west of Fredericksburg, to Paige’s grandad’s house. He lives on a beautiful property with picturesque Texas hill country views. We started right at the spot that Chris pulled Paige aside and got down on one knee!! Their sweet pup Taz joined us, and we eventually headed into the town square at sunset.

When I asked Paige to tell me their whole story (spoiler, it starts all the way back in third grade!!) she said,

Where do I even begin?

Chris and Paige met all the way back in third grade. They had partners and designated times to go visit the school’s library, and they just happened to be walking partners. They used to take teeny tiny steps, to and from the library, to take as much time out of class together as possible.

In Fourth grade, Paige wrote in her password journal (early 2000’s vibes, heck yes) that she was without a doubt going to marry Christopher Lee Jones one day!! Talk about manifestation!! Paige was bummed to find out that fourth grade Chris did not feel the same way.

Fast forward to sophomore year of high school, when the two reconnected. Chris totally had a crush on Paige. He relentlessly invited her out to things but Paige being the stubborn person she (lovingly) is, rejected almost every single one of his invites. She was not about to date the guy who broke her little fourth grader heart all those years ago!!

He eventually wore Paige down because Sophomore year of high school, right after Homecoming, they officially started dating, and have not looked back since. They’ve been together for over eight years now. Paige says she is so incredibly happy that Chris never gave up on her because now he gets to be her walking partner for the rest of forever.
