Rylee & Riley’s Downtown ATX Engagement Session
Let me start out with something that makes my heart just so happy: when Rylee right here graduated from Texas State last year (eat ’em up!), I got to take her senior photos! Her sweet mom Suzanne tagged along and when our session wrapped up she mentioned Riley (yes, his name is also Riley! He told us Rylee’s family calls him “BR” as in “boy Riley”!) And she was hoping there was a ring in her future!!! Who knew that less than a year later, I’d get these two both in front of my camera for an engagement session! (I guess Suzanne knew, huh?) 🙂
Rylee told me she wanted a session with a more city feel. Maybe a cute coffee shop and the Austin skyline. If you can believe it, this session was smack dab in the middle of South by Southwest! So needless to say, I was a teeny bit worried about the crowds from all the festival goers! I mean you can’t plan a downtown ATX engagement session and not get a little (a lot) bit worried about the people!! This is where the genius of a sunrise session (vs. sunset!) comes in!!! We were able to run out onto the middle of the Congress bridge (we survived!!) and head to the cutest coffee shop with a table all to ourselves!
Obviously we were all very sleepy and especially Rylee! She had just seen Kacey Musgraves the night before, which got me psyched for seeing her that night!! But these two brought their A game and were effortlessly adorable from the start. We even had Riley do a lift literally 10 minutes into our session! That never happens!!! AND we were out in the middle of a busy bridge?? I wasn’t trying to throw every obstacle at them…but I did. And they didn’t even bat an eye at all the crazy requests!! See for yourself below!! I can’t wait for their wedding at The Farmhouse in July!!!

Too cute! I love that their names match too. It looks like there was zero traffic on the bridge- awesome photos, Holly!
Aren’t they adorable?? We had to get up so early to make sure there was no traffic!!! Worth it, I think! Thank you Morgan! 🙂
Great blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere? A design like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog stand out. Please let me know where you got your theme. Cheers
