She’s a grad student, he’s a firefighter…

Andrea and Jason got engaged on their ten year anniversary, on August 26th! The next day they drove right to Connecticut to drop off their pup Koda with their families, and Andrea immediately flew out to the Netherlands for a five month grad school project! They just reunited in Texas last month to prepare for their upcoming wedding in Connecticut. And they definitely appreciate a good dry red wine (they love wineries, and got engaged at one!) and whiskey drinks, hence their engagement session setting.

Andrea and Jason’s engagement session at Treaty Oaks Distilling was just the sweetest! Even their sweet puppy Koda got to join in on the session! Fur babies are such an important part of the family, of course we’re always game to include them! Koda is a big fluffy german shepherd who is probably the best trained dog we’ve ever met. She patiently sat and gave us her best #model face for the photos. And when it was time to just get her parents, she quietly trotted over a few feet away, laid down, and just watched! Honestly we were amazed.

She was so calm and sweet! Obviously interested in what was happening, but not worried that her parents were just a bit aways from her. If it were Turbo, he would be like WHY do I have to sit over here if you’re over there?? What’s going on? Anyway, we were very clearly impressed with Koda.

Our session with these two was just so fun! We were able to walk with them all over the Treaty Oak property, and were even able to use a cool (and great-smelling) storage room full of aging barrels!! They were troopers up for anything.
