Austin Lifestyle Engagement Session at Mozart’s + Zilker Park

Cassidy and Austin’s engagement session at Mozart’s and Zilker park has been one of our favs this spring season! When Cassidy and I were talking about locations a while back, she mentioned two beautiful Austin landmarks: Zilker park and Mozart’s Coffee! If you’re familiar with Austin, you know how gorgeous these two places can be. Cassidy said that Mozart’s was special to her and Austin’s relationship. And at Zilker, they can include their pup Coriander (aka Cori Louise) who Austin got at only 8 weeks old! She’s now seven, ball obsessed, and loves her parents so much!!

So I said…why not both!!

This session was a bit unique thanks to Texas weather! Our original plan was to start out at Mozart’s, then head to Zilker to catch the sunset and hang with Coriander. But on the evening of our session together, a HUGE storm was on the horizon. We watched it all day long and decided we would probably miss it and to go ahead! Overcast weather makes for easy breezy photo-taking, and the weather was cool thanks to the coming rain.

We quickly headed to Zilker, watching the super dark clouds approaching. As soon as we go there, we started to feel big rain drops on our heads and had to call it. It ended up pouring!! 

But good thing we rescheduled, because a few days later we had a beautiful sunset and evening spent at Zilker! We popped champagne and played with Coriander. It was perfect!

So we all know I’m a sucker for our couples’ love stories, and Cassidy and Austin’s is so stinkin’ sweet! I also love the way they told it to me, so I’m going to quote it directly!!!

“Austin and Cassidy met the old-fashioned way – Tinder! We both lived in Charlotte, NC, and with Austin being a fine dining chef and Cassidy working in events, the Internet is about the only way our paths would have ever crossed. But from our first date, which lasted about 4 hours, we had a really strong connection. Cassidy admired Austin’s kindness, his generosity, his sense of humor, and how tall and handsome he is! Austin was sold on Cassidy’s quirky sense of humor, her quiet intelligence, the way her eyes sparkled, and the way her nose scrunched up when he told a corny joke. It wasn’t long before we were inseparable, and when Cassidy got a job offer in Texas six months into our relationship, Austin didn’t hesitate to say he was in it for the long haul.”
