We have seen a lot of first look moments over the years. The moment when the couple gets to see each other for the first time that day, after all the nerves have been building up all morning. There are usually tears, lots of excited whispers and nervous giggles.

I almost always get teary eyed. I’m a softy, and when I see others crying I cry – I can’t help it! We’ve spent the past year getting to know that couple and their love story. I’ve helped them through the high expectations and stress of all the wedding planning. The moments of a during a first look are like a big wave of relief. Like we made it – it’s here, it’s happening! They’re probably my favorite part of the day.

Okay, I’m giving you all that backstory because I have to tell you about Katelyn and Sean’s first look. I didn’t just get misty, I was wiping away tears in order to keep shooting properly!!

Not only were they just so ecstatic to see each other (and if you know Katelyn and Sean, you know the way they smile when they’re together…!) But they had brought their own vows to read to each other. And they couldn’t stop hugging each other, laughing together, and crying happy tears. It was simply the best!

To Katelyn and Sean, you two have the biggest hearts and we are so grateful to have gotten to know you over the last year! The love and support that surrounded you on your wedding day (both in person and on zoom!) was tangible and so wonderful! We wish you (+ Huck!) nothing but the very best in this new season of life! ❤️
