This past weekend, we got to venture to my favorite hidden gem in South Austin for a family session! Sunrise sessions are a must during the Texas summer. And they’re an added bonus when you bring little kiddos into the mix!

To be honest, there’s nothing more fun in the world than getting to shoot with people who are already your friends! We’re always so excited when friends and family want to do sessions and this was no exception! We’d shot with Cameron, Leslie and baby Hay-Hay (Hayden, neutral on his nickname) last season for their holiday card and it was a blast… but Hayden was a little fussy.

This year all three brought their A-Game and you can really tell!! Cameron has a knack for keeping both Hayden and Leslie laughing, but keeps a soothing and steady ‘dad energy’ about him. And Hayden was absolutely perfect!! He loved to swing off his parents arms, get thrown in the air, and would even run and give AJ a big hug before running back to his parents for some photos.

Family sessions are always such a treat for us, and there’s something really special about the way that two parents looking down at their child with adoration, no matter how much they’re cooperating in the moment.
