Springdale Station Wedding

Nick & Alex

Nick and Alex’s intimate Springdale Station wedding was one of our most touching and beautiful to date.

“There’s a saying that says ‘good things come to those who wait,” Nick’s mom said during her toast, “and these two have a history to prove that. The six plus years that have proceeded this wedding there have been times where distance has been a factor: 2 years in grad school, 4.5 months on the AT, and moving to Austin for the architecture program. Along the way, these two found ways to connect and deepen their relationship and adding Sofia to the mix. (YES we all love Sofia!!) Now they are truly a family together.”

Nick’s brother officiated their ceremony, peppered with jokes of course, and told their story. It was so unique and so sweet!! We loved that he took the time to cover their relationship in depth and we really left feeling like we knew them better, and feeling extremely connected to their story!! After all, for over six years they have a lot of story to tell. After their beautiful ceremony, we were able to steal them across the way for some sunset portraits, but we knew that them getting to spend time with their guests was number one and dancing was a priority!

And then they DANCED! They had an awesome live band and an active dance floor, and everyone danced the night away! The whole night just flew by after that – they were so excited about the cake they may have broken the handle on the knife…! No judgement!!

Nick’s dad better than we ever could in his speech to the newlyweds later that evening:

“Nick & Alex are perfect for each other. More biking, more dogs, more skiing, and more adventures await this couple who are just officially starting their life together today.”
