Lisa & Jared’s beautiful Austin winter wedding
Jared stood patiently on the side of the chapel, under a beautiful, sprawling tree. Although he didn’t know it, Lisa stood about 10 paces behind him with her hands at her sides, taking a deep breath. It had been an unusually warm and bright January morning, but seemingly at the couple’s request, the sun had dipped behind a set of clouds right in time for Lisa to walk up behind Jared and tap him on the shoulder. It was almost as though nature was encouraging Jared to zone in his focus on his bride-to-be.
It’s hard to use words to describe the moments that followed. They took each other in, they smiled, and they embraced. As someone who photographs a lot of first looks (and couples in general), I could feel a massive significance in the way that they held each other. Their excitement and love for one another was tangible in the air that surrounded them. They had prepared letters for one another, which they read together, and then shared some private thoughts in a beautiful, intimate embrace. It was truly moving.
Lisa and Jared, thank you for the opportunity to capture your sweet day. The love you share for each other is so evident and so pure. Throughout the ceremony I was beaming behind my camera (in addition to a shedding few tears, not ashamed to admit that), I just couldn’t help it! I wish you two all the best in this new year and new season of life.
Xoxo,
Holly & AJ
