I absolutely love doing bridals! It’s an older, mostly Southern tradition that evolved from more posed, studio sessions to less formal, environmental portraits. Honestly, I’ll give any one of my brides one more opportunity to slip into her gown and take beautiful portraits! The hardest part is keeping them a secret for so long (mostly from the groom, but…)! I’m so excited to share all of them today!
Lisa picked The Grove in Round Rock, which was absolutely beautiful for being mid-December! It’s hard to find a place that looks so beautiful in the middle of Texas winter, but it was such a dream! I just love huge the deck that overlooks the water. There’s also a wooden arbor covered in vines that was still blooming!! It’s such a lovely place, I’m grateful Kathy, the owner, let us shoot here! And – I found out when we got there that Lisa’s parents lived just down the creek! The light was absolutely gorgeous, Lisa looked absolutely stunning, I could not have asked for a more perfect shoot!
The beautiful bouquet was made by the extremely talented Abbie at Blumen Floral! Lisa told me she had asked for it sort of last minute, but oh my goodness if Abbie didn’t deliver!! They’re stunning! I remember Lisa mentioned it was a smaller version of her real, day-of bouquet and I was thrilled!
P.S. – I brought this chair from home!!! I love this chair to death, one of my parents’ neighbors was throwing it away and I just had to intervene! It’s currently sitting in our living room, but I like try to incorporate it in every shoot I can! To be totally honest, I wasn’t sure how the color was going to fit in, but I think it looks beautiful against the cranberry of the flowers and the wooden deck. Not to mention how royal Lisa looks sitting in it!!
