Engagement Session at The Waters Point – Clint & Kathryn

We are huge cheerleaders when it comes to couples wanting to do something that is so them, especially during engagement shoots. Honestly in most things photoshoot related, there will always be one half of the duo that is totally on board with everything, and one that will take a little convincing. Between Kathryn and Clint, it was easy to see who was the “yes let’s do it!!!” half. While Kathryn was super excited to get her feet wet in the freezing creek running behind The Waters Point, Clint had his fair share of reservations. After a little convincing – and a lot of giggling – they tentatively waded in, hand in hand. We were able to capture some really really sweet moments, albeit quick moments! After a minute or two, they jumped out and put their boots back on. We absolutely loved their spirit. This exchange seemed to pretty much define the two. They’re both fun-loving and adventurous, with an up-for-anything kind of attitude that made them super easy to work with. They made everything look and feel easy, and we know they’re going to do the exact same thing on their wedding day.

Getting to shoot at The Waters Point – their venue for their Cinco de Mayo wedding this May – was also a great experience! It was wonderfully versatile, with a beautiful setting backing straight up to the river, and deer running all over the place! Kathryn had even talked about having the ceremony on this beautiful patch of flat rock right by the creekside, and we’re excited to see if that works out because it would be so pretty. We can’t wait to see how the reception area looks at night, lit by the tree chandeliers and hanging lights! Maybe we’ll even get visited by the sweet deer again! And the even sweeter miniature horse on the property! We fell in love with him!

To Clint and Kathryn, your fun-loving, beautiful spirits are so wonderful to be around. We cannot wait for May to come to celebrate with you and capture even more sweet moments!
