Nick & Alex

There are some people you meet that have a magnetic energy about them. Nick and Alex are those kind of people.

We met them this summer out at Radio and I felt like we could talk to them for hours! They told us all about how they met and how they ended up here in Austin. They are both very outdoorsy and love to hike and bike around ATX. Alex even hiked the Appalachian Trail which is AMAZING! My brother did the same last year (they very nearly almost overlapped!) and I know (secondhand) what kind of an undertaking it can be!

So where do we go for their engagement session when there are so many beautiful spots around here? Nick and Alex chose Brush Creek up in North Austin – a place where they bike frequently together! Brushy Creek is huge and so beautiful! We could not have asked for a more beautiful day either. The water was gorgeous and I almost had trouble deciding on photo spots because there were so many!

During this very session we had such beautiful, long lasting light that I just wanted to hang out with them rather than take photos! But thank goodness I did because I mean look at them!

They truly are naturals – fun-loving, easygoing, and adorable – and were able to totally be themselves in front of the camera!

In January (that’s like tomorrow, holy cow!) they’re getting hitched at Springdale Station!! It’s one of our favorite venues and they are one of our favorite couples so how could it not be the very best day ever?! I cannot wait for it to come and to share it!! And to hang out with Nick and Alex again 🙂
