Laguna Gloria Engagement Session

We had such a blast with Sheridan & Max at their Laguna Gloria engagement session! It was a typical humid June evening, but the light was just gorgeous and they are adorable!! It made our jobs very easy 😉

Max and Sheridan have the most perfect-meet cute…I have to share!

Sheridan met Max in Boston, at her first job right after college. For the first couple of months, she used to go over to his desk area multiple times a day (she says too much…!) And talk to the guy that sat right next to him to try to get him to notice her. She said she thought she was being sneaky but apparently Max saw right through what she was doing!

One Friday night he got her number from their work directory and texted her that he was in downtown at a bar with his friends. She pretended her friends were going out to the same bar he was. And then, she “accidentally” lost her friends. That night they shared our first kiss and the rest was history!

Now he says he wishes she was still giving him googly eyes passing by his desk too often at work…!

Sheridan said that Max is such a little hopeless romantic. And he truly made her feel like a princess the day they got engaged!

They were on a red eye the day before Christmas Eve. It was Max’s first time going to Europe and they were offering free wine and beer on the verrry long flight. Sheridan slept the whole time, and when she woke up we were about to land and Max was finishing up his second bottle of wine. She thought he was just nervous for the long flight!

When they arrived Christmas Eve morning in Paris, their hotel had upgraded them to a suite with an Eiffel tower view. Sheridan thought they were just being nice for Christmas!  Max told her to shower after the long flight, but really he knows her well and knew she would want to look my best for this BIG moment. Meanwhile, it made her grumpy because she thought he was just being rude – ha!

They walked the streets of Rue Cler to where Sheridan thought they were just having lunch. She told Max to hurry up because she was hungry (relatable) and he said to turn around because he needed to ask me something. She responded, “Let’s go – ask me at lunch!” The next part is so cute I have to just quote Sheridan directly:

“And then he said Sheridan with the most serious face I’ve ever seen and got on one knee. I blacked out. The next thing I know, there’s a ring on my finger and I am the happiest girl in the world.” 💖

It’s my favorite thing when couples are down to have fun, stroll around cool places like Laguna Gloria, and take cute photos in between! These two really were naturals from the start!! We are so excited for their wedding at Barr Mansion next May!
