Bingham stopped whining. He had cocked his head, lifted an ear, and listened intently for the voices that were coming down the path. He recognized those voices, and Sara had a look of pure joy on her face when she saw him tethered to a little chair in the small, open greenhouse. She rushed over to him, to pet him and dote on him, clearly surprised by his presence at Sekrit Theater. They both had squatted down to pet him, and Daniel was gently nudging her to check his collar (what does his tag say?). It was impossible to keep him still enough to read his tiny tag. The petite Goldendoodle puppy was bouncing around so much – so excited to see his parents – that Sara didn’t seem to immediately notice that Daniel had transitioned from squatting, and had gotten down on one knee.

James, Breanne, and Andreas, family and close friends, stood about 20 feet away in a small adjacent cottage, watching from a distance as Daniel proposed to James’ older sister. They were the boots on the ground – helping Daniel execute his plan all the way from managing Bingham, to arranging the greenhouse, setting up lights, and communicating with us and the venue manager. They knew that all their hard work had come together perfectly as Sara put a hand over her mouth, teared up, and said “yes.” After Sara and Daniel had composed themselves, Andreas, James, and Breanne came out of hiding and everyone embraced and shared in the excitement. Bingham got (another) spoonful of peanut butter for all his help.

To Daniel & Sara: we are so thrilled we got to play a roll in your sweet proposal! We know how much prep and planning went into this moment on the back end. And while Sara you may have sensed it was about to happen all along, it shows how much love and support surrounds you two!
