We stumbled upon the most gorgeous field, full of tall grass and sprinkled with bluebonnets, evening primrose, and buttercups. There was was a warm breeze that made all the flowers dance a little. The sun painted everything in a beautiful glow. For a moment, the world seemed to pause, and everything was perfect.
A few moments earlier, Nicole had showed us a beautiful grotto nestled beneath the main building where her and Chris had stopped to light a candle. Nicole knew that the grotto faced Notre Dame, where they both went to school and which means so much to them both. St. Edwards was her alma mater too, so for the first time we had a tour guide!
We had so much fun exploring all around St. Ed’s with Nicole & Chris! It feels like we went all up and down the whole campus, but I’m sure there’s even more to discover. It’s one of our favorite places to shoot for that reason, you can walk just a few feet and get a totally different look. One of our favorite stops is the library, and she told us it wasn’t even built yet when she was there. And of course we made a stop in front of the chapel they’re getting married in!!! The doors were locked so we couldn’t get inside but the porch in front was so cute! Plus, we’ll be back in just a couple months for the real deal!
To Nicole & Chris: AJ and I had such a blast hiking all up and down St. Ed’s with you! Your smiles are infectious and your company is so wonderful! It was such a joy learning more about you two. We can only imagine how much fun getting to experience your wedding day alongside you will be! July is coming quicker than you think – and we just can’t wait! Soak in these last few months as fiancés because you only get this once!
