Lush, green vines. Rows and rows of oranges, yellows, and more fall colors against a gray sky. You could feel the peaceful quiet of a small Texas town, off the beaten path. Chairs set up under the shade of an oak tree covered in Spanish moss. Pine trees surrounded the property and created a beautiful intimacy. There is something so dreamy about a vineyard wedding! Smiling, laughing family and friends filed into the back of the property, most with a glass of wine in hand. Last Saturday, on a beautiful (somehow dry!) day in late October we took a little road trip out to Weimar, Texas for Casey & RJ’s sweet ceremony at The Whistling Duck Winery.

I could go on and on about the dreamy nature of a vineyard wedding! I will always love an elegant white dress paired with the rows and rows of vines. The lush green grass and the pop of rose bushes made Casey’s dress shine brighter. The ceremony was a family affair; RJ’s grandmother officiated, and RJ’s son and Casey’s daughter contributed to a sweet sand-pouring ritual signifying the unify of their new family.

After their ceremony, we rounded up the guests and headed to Swiss Alps in Schulenburg. So many more friends and family came to join – it seemed like the whole town was partying with them! The Spazmatics played, who are always such a blast, it was the perfect celebration to end the perfect day!
