Good things take time. This was a constant thing of the Robinson wedding. Gabriel and Jessica had been together 12 years – why get married now? Why get married at all? Jokes were peppered throughout the day, the all over the toasts, and even in the ceremony. WHEN were these two going to get hitched? Our favorite kinds of couples are the ones that make decisions on their own time – when it’s most right for them.
While other people might have been questioning their decisions or their timing (and these were coming from friends and family, of course from a place of love and jest), it made perfect sense to us. When it’s time, it’s time, and they were the best possible judge of that. A wedding after years of being together meant that they already had a shared life, and shared both family and friends. This allowed for a joyous, heartfelt wedding, filled with laughter, love, and a few line dances that AJ and I had never seen before (The Wiggles, apparently). Almost everyone seemed to mingle and know one-another well. No one stayed in their cliques or their tables, it was all a celebration of the love that Jessica and Gabriel had spent a LONG time cultivating. At the end of the day, what could be better than that?

Jessica had her Great Aunt’s wedding set along with her “something blue” from Gabe’s grandmother sewn into her dress. This is so incredibly sweet!!

To Jessica and Gabe: We are so, so grateful to have been a part of your beautiful, glamorous wedding!! Your friends and family were so wonderful and accommodating. Even though the weather wasn’t absolutely perfect, the inside ceremony and cocktail hour were dreamy and it was clear that everyone there adored the two of you. It was so wonderful to meet you and we wish you the absolute best in your new marriage!!!
