Let’s start this all the way from the beginning.
Before this day in mid September, before Rachel put on her wedding dress and diamond studded shoes. Before Zach donned his tux, and spent the afternoon getting ready with his best man and childhood best friend, in a little cottage behind their ceremony site. Before the anticipation of seeing Rachel in that wedding dress began to build. Let’s start where they first met, in their own words.
During their quiet moment together, after seeing each other for the first time, they read each other their vows in an intimate moment before the ceremony. Both Zach and Rachel reminced on the first time they saw each other. Rachel remembered spotting Zach from across the room. And telling her friends he was kinda cute. Zach said that as soon as he met Rachel, he knew that she was beautiful, smart, and kind. And he knew he had to see her again.
Now they stood, in wedding dress and tuxedo.
Facing one another, about to be husband and wife. Their mutual friend, Morgan – the one who set them up originally – stood between them as their officiant. Rachel said during her vows that introducing them might be “the most right thing Morgan would ever do in her whole life,” as she beamed forward at Zach. As a part of their ceremony, they planted an olive tree together. Symbolic of the new roots that they’d be growing together, and of the home they will now build together.

It has been so wonderful getting to know you for the past nine months! There is something so heartwarming (and tear jerking…definitely cried a few times on Saturday. Not ashamed of it.) about the love that you two share. It’s so evident and genuine and hard to miss. I hope you two are having the most amazing time in Jamaica right now!! It will be so sweet when y’all get home to start this new season of life together!
