Sekrit Theater is one of those hidden gems tucked away in East Austin. It’s a huge property! When McKenzie said a Sekrit Theater engagement session was totally their vibe, we were so excited!! It had been raining all the night before, but the clouds parted and the sun shined just for their session! It wasn’t even that humid if you can believe it!!
McKenzie and Steven are a shiny, glowing example of a couple nervous about their engagement session who totally rocked it. They are officially #models now!!! They are such sweet, down to earth people and their love for each other is so evident and genuine!! I wasn’t worried about them at all, I knew they’d kill it!
McKenzie was channeling some serious Kacey Musgraves vibes in her lilac purple dress! The two of them in the glass greenhouse was so dreamy – we just had to do some twirling! And I’ll never say no to a lift…especially if the couple is ready for it!! McKenzie said she will regularly run and jump into Steven’s arms, usually as a surprise. Swoon!! Needless to say they nailed it!!
I’ll leave you with their adorably perfect meet-cute story!!
One night, McKenzie was headed out to 6th street with her friends. A friend she met in college (who was actually Steven’s high school friend!) told her they were meeting up with a guy who (this is in their words!!) was “the WORST person”. They said they called him Post. So she gets up to Rooftop, and is meeting these new people. And she meets a guy named Steven! Thank goodness he didn’t introduce himself as he usually does (…Post!) because the rest is history!!!
They’ve been long distance almost their entire relationship, but now they live together with Gibs their munchkin cat (does it get cuter than that?!) and their new Corgi puppy Grizzley Bear!!!! (Who both should have been included in their engagement session, but the shorties had to stay home!!)
McKenzie & Steven definitely rocked their Sekrit Theater engagement session!! Here are 5 easy tips to prepare for your session!
