It all started a few years back at Chuy’s. Has a love story ever started a better way than that? We met Catherine and Harrison last year, where we learned that their love is a classic one. And on a Saturday in the middle of March, we headed to their Springtime Antebellum Oaks wedding. Ready to celebrate that classic love.

Their officiant, Kelsey, surprised them during their ceremony. He asked them to promise something to each other. To Catherine, Harrison gave his promise through her favorite song:

“If the sky that we look upon

Should tumble and fall

Or the mountains should crumble to the sea

I won’t cry, I won’t cry, no I won’t shed a tear

Just as long as you stand, stand by me.”

And Catherine, to Harrison, vowed his favorite song to him:

“‘Cause Harry, there ain’t no mountain high enough

Ain’t no valley low enough

Ain’t no river wide enough

To keep me from getting to you Harry.”

Classic. And later that night, they danced to these two songs. Surrounded by their families and their lifelong friends. Their neighbors, and second families. They danced those promises true.

Catherine’s dad said in his speech that he knew Harrison was a good guy. But seeing them dance their first dance together as husband and wife, he said he could tell just how in love with each other they really were.

And later, we learned a lot. We all heard the infamous “washer” story, (it’s a good one) and that Harrison can eat a whole cookie cake in one sitting. We learned that Harrison felt he was ingrained with deep patience and empathy thanks to his parents. Which led him to a girl like Catherine.

But most importantly, we learned that these two are surrounded with so much love, support, and well wishes. We know there’s nothing but good things ahead of them.
