Vista West Ranch Engagement Session

A few weekends ago we spent a beautiful December day laughing it up with Catherine and Will for their engagement session at Vista West Ranch – where they’ll be getting married (!!) in a few short months! It is such a sweet thing to be able to spend time at a venue before our couples’ wedding day. First, we get acquainted with the space and how the light will be at the best time of day. Granted, winter light is different from spring light, but it does help us plan ahead! Second, because we usually get psyched to come back to these portrait locations!!! Vista West Ranch is chock full of so many beautiful spots. I cannot wait to get these two back in that glowy tall grass!!

When we asked how these two met each other,

They told us, “Not to be cheesy, but everything just made sense.” After meeting at a country bar and two stepping the night away (swoon), they discovered they had so many mutual friends in common! As they got to know each other better, all the pieces came together and they just clicked. It’s that feeling you just can’t describe but you know it when you feel it…! You can see the love between these two so easily. Catherine just lights up when she looks at Will! And in perfect Austinite fashion, on the weekend you can catch these cuties sipping Mexican Martinis from Trudy’s!

Now they’re planning for their wedding in March!! We walked in the main venue and took a peek. Catherine was describing their vision for the day and it sounds just beautiful! The words they use to describe how they want their day to feel are happy, joyful, relaxed, humble, and heart-warming. I can tell you already I’m getting those vibes from these two! We cannot wait for March to come!
