With the stars up above you, and the ground below you. The stars will continuously lift you up, and the Earth will keep you grounded.
It was briskly cold. Pecan Grove sits just on the bank of the water in Driftwood, Texas. The river rushed behind Lauren & Mike, high and loud. Baby Anthony squirmed across laps. Their officiant addressed their family and friends, gathered from all over the country, as Lauren and Mike stood hand in hand. They were about to embark on the most tangible part of their wedding ceremony. As they held one another’s hands, their officiant draped ropes over their hands and began reciting promises, in lieu of vows. Promises, as Katrina said, were something that you make every single day, and will continue to make to one another, instead of once-made vows. Their hands were bound together, and they promised to always laugh with one another, always support one another, and to continue making new promises. As the fastening was completed and the rings exchanged, they said ‘I do”, shared a deep kiss, and were bonded figuratively and literally. They were newly prepared to walk down the aisle, to their reception, and into this new season of their life.
To Mr. & Mrs. Gulla,
We’re so grateful to have been a part of this season of life for you two! It’s been such a joy getting to know you two and sweet little Anthony! You were surrounded by so many wonderful friends and family who love and support you. I know this next chapter will be full of so much love and prosperity for you. We wish you all the best!
