Downtown Austin Engagement Session

Megan & Trey

Megan and Trey were down to hang and have a good time from the get go! Meg told me she wanted their session to be half a downtown/bar vibe and half a nature/relaxing setting. Aka: my favorite type of engagement session!

They live in Tulsa but wanted to come down to Austin for their engagement session to be closer to their venue. In October they’re getting MARRIED at Lucky Arrow Retreat, basically the coolest venue in the Texas hill country!

It’s got many little cabins and yurts (that’s where Megan and Trey stayed before their engagement session downtown!) around for all of your guests to stay. It’s up on a hill and has the prettiest view! (p.s. we shot a styled shoot there last year – you can see how beautiful it is here!)

I’m so excited for their wedding day not only because of their venue but because we’ll get to hang out with them again!!!

So back to their engagement session!! We started out at the Peacock downtown where we had a quick drink! They had the cutest drinks and the bar there is adorable. The outside is awesome too – and from the start these two were professional models!

After that we moseyed down to the Austin Public Library (also one of the coolest places for an engagement session!) It looks just like a little park and we twirled around til it was time for our next location.

Cut to Auditorium Shores! Super packed with people and cute dogs. Luckily, Megan and Trey have three adorable puppers (who I want to squeeze), so the doggo distractions were welcome on all sides.

We ended their session in front of Town Lake with the prettiest sunset and light ever! Megan and Trey were up for every challenge we threw at them and laughed and had fun the whole time! Trey even was feeling under the weather and was such a trooper! Thanks again Trey 🙂
