Austin Texas Maternity Session

Sooo yes yes – if you know Kelsey or if you’ve seen my stories the last month or so. You know this post is extremely late!! As in, baby Joel is already born (surprise – he’s a boy!!!) and is about a 5.5 weeks old now. But there are a few reasons I wanted to get this post up, even if it’s belated.

I met Kelsey when she was getting ready to marry her husband Craig through a mutual friend. She was the third person to fully trust me in shooting a wedding, and thank goodness for that! Because since then we’ve become close friends, and she has continued to be a big support to HMP. She and Craig have dressed up (thank you again!!) to be my models a time or two. And now, in this new chapter of life I got to shoot her maternity session!

I remember when I first brought it up, Kelsey wasn’t sure she wanted to even have them done. But I had this vision in my head of her at Circle C Park, and that they would turn out how they did. And she would look like a goddess, like mother earth herself and THANK GOODNESS she agreed because look at her!!

Anyway – that’s the first reason I’m posting late, because she looks like an actual beam of light and is so gorgeous I have to show her off. But the second reason is that my heart basically bursts with love and gratitude that I’ve 1 – gotten to stay friends with Kelsey because she truly is one of the best people on the planet.

And 2 – I’ve gotten to photograph all these milestones for her and Craig as the years go on. Nothing in this whole dang world makes me happier. I want to keep doing this for all of our couples for forever, because I want to celebrate people like Kelsey every opportunity I get!!
